On Monday, May 8th 2017, the American Planning Association honored the Millvale EcoDistrict Pivot Plan with two national awards.

New York, NY — May 9, 2017 —The annual conference of the American Planning Association (APA) takes place in New York City this week and includes awards ceremonies to honor the best planning projects in the United States. The Borough of Millvale, located just across the Allegheny River from Pittsburgh, is being recognized with a Silver 2017 National Planning Achievement Award for Environmental Planning. Portland, OR — February 6, 2017 — The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded two EcoDistricts partners with Choice Neighborhood Implementation grants in December 2016. Denver, Colorado’s Sun Valley Ecodistrict and St. Louis, Missouri’s Near North Side neighborhood each received nearly $30 million.
