

2025 Disaster Resilience Symposium
Equal Justice Works’ 2025 Disaster Resilience Symposium brings together legal, academic, and community voices instrumental in disaster law and the resilience movement, including emergency management professionals, attorneys working in disaster law, individuals working in disaster planning and recovery, and student for a forward-looking exploration of resilience in the face of disasters. This symposium offers a unique opportunity to reflect on the lessons learned from past disasters, including the pivotal 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. Through dynamic keynote presentations, interactive workshops, and collaborative discussions, participants will delve into the latest trends and best practices in disaster response, preparedness, and recovery. The symposium is cohosted by the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Disaster Response and Preparedness and Stetson University College of Law.
