Sheila Curry-Campbell – Just Communities Accredited Practitioner (AP)

Sheila Curry-Campbell is the Founder, CEO, and Executive Director of Curry Campbell Consulting Group of Fort Wayne, Indiana, as well as the Program Director and Resource Manager at Pilgrim’s Progress Community Development Corporation. A dedicated leader in racial equity, climate resilience, public health, and community empowerment, Sheila brings over 30 years of experience in community development, environmental justice, and workforce training—working at the intersection of sustainability, economic opportunity, and neighborhood revitalization.

As a Just Communities Accredited Practitioner and Community Health Worker trained in suicide prevention, Sheila applies the Just Communities Protocol to advance equitable and regenerative development practices that center the voices, assets, and needs of historically disinvested communities. She has spearheaded transformative initiatives—from green jobs programs for youth to large-scale resilience hub projects—building collaborations with local government, nonprofits, educational institutions, and grassroots leaders.

Sheila’s leadership record is extensive. She is the current president of the Board of Directors for the Midwest Building Decarbonization Coalition and has previously served as an elected official, County Councilwoman for the 1st District of Allen County. Her advocacy in environmental justice was shaped under the leadership of Jackie Patterson. Sheila is also the past president of NAACP Branch 3049 and the past president of the Fort Wayne Urban League Guild. She sits on multiple local, state, and national boards, and has been recognized at the state, regional, and national levels for her outstanding contributions to equity, public health, and community advancement.

Sheila is deeply committed to healing, liberation, and systemic change, ensuring that community members are not only engaged in decision-making but also share in the benefits of sustainable, inclusive growth.
