As Managing Director of Grants & Programs at Community LIFT, Michael advances equitable development by directing capital into community-driven solutions. As Board President of Memphis Slim Collaboratory (Slim House), Michael champions cultural infrastructure as essential civic infrastructure. Under his leadership, Slim House serves as a living bridge between Memphis’ musical legacy and its creative future, supporting artists, cultivating collaboration, and positioning culture as a driver of innovation and neighborhood vitality.

A sought-after speaker on creative placemaking, equity-centered development, and cultural stewardship, Michael also serves as Co-Chair of the 2026 South & Appalachian Creative Placemaking Summit, helping bring a national dialogue on culture and community to Memphis.
