We’re excited to announce the launch of the Just Communities Pilot Program, an innovative initiative designed to empower Atlanta communities to foster collaboration for a more equitable and sustainable future. Spearheaded by the Bezos Earth Fund, the Just Communities program represents a bold step towards integrating principles of justice and equity into the fabric of environmental action.
Throughout the two-year learning program, we are collaborating with each community to apply the Just Communities Protocol to support their efforts to build enduring partnerships, mediate conflict and trauma from decades of disinvestment, implement community-led projects, and measure impact. The goal is to build positive momentum and impact among a diverse set of neighborhoods, create actionable solutions that address pressing challenges while amplifying the strengths of these vibrant communities.
