Miranda Gardiner
With a passion for the environment and bringing people together to improve sustainable practices in our built world, Miranda believes that caring for oneself resonates in one’s ability to care for the greater good (she is also an avid runner and sport participant). As a part of the HKS DesignGreen team, Miranda is the in-house sustainability expert for HKS’ America West Region. She manages multiple LEED projects out of various offices, both nationally and internationally.
As a fellow with Robert Bosch Foundation from 2015-2016, Miranda investigated environmental policies and planning practices, in an effort to influence global change culturally, economically and environmentally. Her transatlantic research topic focused on three major factors of the sustainability movement: government’s role, financial commitments, and historical priorities.
Utilizing case studies of cities, corporations, and government policies, Miranda outlined the shortcomings and strategies of both European and North American sustainability initiatives.
